What are the Benefits of Yoga?

Discover the many benefits of yoga including:

  • Stress relief and a deeper connection with oneself
  • Increased flexibility, strength and balance
  • Increased recovery and performance in other sports
  • Greater awareness of your body’s physiology and systems
  • Stillness of the mind and clarity of thought
  • A sense of community, new friendships, sharing of common interests
  • Inspired learnings to create ease in your daily life

The Process

First yoga makes us more aware of our bodies, our alignment, posture and breath. Stretching with the breath enhances our flexibility and supports our other sports and life activities. The most immediate benefit is that it helps us relax and relieve stress and tension, offering the perfect environment to melt away from the challenges of life. This is undoubtedly one of the main reasons why people take up yoga. Yet many would argue, just the start to a long line of health and spiritual benefits that serve to increase our self awareness, sense of well-being and curiosity about what is entirely possible.

Yoga Therapy
