2010-07-13 Differentiation that's Wow Amazing
It has been a long time since I have written and July is well underway. I want to thank all of my clients for adding value to this business and helping me differentiate myself from the rest.
What makes Living Truth Therapeutic Yoga & Thai massage different, is, ...well, everything. First off the studio and Thai Massage space are very nurturing and private, offering great lighting and atmosphere. This comes second to the approach that I use.
What to Expect from a Therapeutic Yoga Session?
At your first Yoga Therapy Assessment we take 2 hours to discuss what has been going on for you and look at how you are moving in your body. Based on the outcome of this assessment, we will set out a framework of movements, yoga postures, meditation and breathing to help you significantly reduce your pain and increase ease, mobility, strength and stability in your body.
The principle is easy, moving in ease, instead of forcing. Case study after case study show that more progress and healing can occur by moving in a safe, pain-free range of motion than forcing. If you have been forcing your way through injury and pain and it has not been working, then consider this approach. Yoga Therapy works on many levels to deeply relax and create space in the body's facial network, reprogram neurology in the body and bring you to a state of openness and awareness where healing occurs. The other key principle of this work is that where pain and discomfort are showing up is not necessary where one is stuck, so we look at the shoulders in relation to the pelvis. It is the simplest idea, hard for some to get at first, yet it works. And I have a bunch of testimonials to prove it.
What to Expect from a Therapeutic Thai Massage Session?
You get the opportunity to relax and unwind for 2 whole hours, while your body's muscles, joints and connective tissue is gentle stretched, put through traction, and pressure points and energy lines are stimulated. It works deeply, to target and promote para-sympathetic response (relaxation response) - which a one hour treatment rarely touches. The massage encompasses the entire body, starting at the feet, ensuring that any stagnation and blockages are flushed, leaving you feeling, longer, lighter and energized. Thai massage is great for any client - from those who are inflexible and inactive to those with tightness stemming from sports, overwork and over stress.
GREAT NEWS
I am very pleased to announce that I have been as one of 7 students accepted to spend the next year studying under Susi Hately of Functional Synergy in a Therapeutic Yoga Certification Program recognized by the International Association of Yoga Therapists (IAYT). Susi's techniques almost guarantee success with each and every client and I look forward to learning from her, bringing my practice to a deeper level and to bringing to my clients amazing tidbits of information, and most importantly helping them create ease and eleminating pain in their bodies so they can enjoy what is most important to them.
So if you are looking for an different and highly effective approach to therapy, give me a call. I look forward to working with you.
Happy Summer,
Carrie Meyer
